The ISA 95 / IEC 62264 standards for Manufacturing Operations Management and integration of business and manufacturing systems has become the primary model used to develop operations management requirements, compare manufacturing facilities, determine where current processes fall short, and understand where operational improvements can be made.
During a public session, that will be held on March 18th (h.10-13), at Tor Vergata University of Rome – School of Engineering, Dennis Brandl and Don Clark, members of the IEC SC65E JWG 5 committee developing the standards will be will be presenting an overview of the standards, the plans for future work, how the standards are benefiting manufacturing, and what additional areas of research are needed.
The session will also cover the “in-development” MESA International Manufacturing Capability Maturity model, and the complementary ISO 22400 standard on Key Performance
